Meet the Visionary of JMK
Ms. June Jones is a native of Greenville, MS, and a proud graduate of Greenville-Weston High School (Class of 2003). After graduation, she briefly served in the Army National Guard, balancing military service with her early college years at Mississippi Valley State University.
She earned her B.S. in Biology and Chemistry from MVSU, followed by graduate studies in Environmental Health. In 2013, she began her career as a Biological Science Technician with the USDA.
Motivated by a desire to make a lasting impact in her community, Ms. June transitioned into education, teaching science and dance in the Greenville Public School District. After four years in the classroom, her vision expanded into the founding of J.M. Kelly Creative Arts School in April 2018, now recognized as the premier location for arts and academics in the Mississippi Delta.
Ms. June is deeply passionate about children and committed to developing both students and staff. She lives by the principle of leaving the earth empty, having fully poured her gifts, wisdom, and purpose into the next generation. The future is promising, and the assignment is great.
